Additional Information

Purpose

Provide customer service and administrative support for the Office of Campus Safety as the primary receptionist and first point of contact for department employees and guests.

Essential Functions

Maintain a welcoming and professional environment in main office lobby. Greet visitors and direct calls and emails to appropriate personnel. Provide clerical support, as needed. May include drafting internal communications, and providing backup support to the Executive Assistant to the Assistant Vice President. Oversee mail distribution, receive packages, and make arrangements for deliveries.

Marginal/Incidental functions

Perform other related functions as assigned.

Required qualifications

High school graduation or GED. Three years of clerical experience, including one year of experience at the Senior Office Assistant level. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

A criminal history background check will be required for finalist(s) under consideration for this position.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
