CMP Equipment Engineer
Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking experienced equipment engineer for CMP. Challenges include defect reduction, process control and integration of CMP into leading edge devices. The successful candidate will have a broad experience with CMP Processes, slurries, post polish cleaning, hardware and device integration.
Develop plans and conduct defect, thickness and integration troubleshooting with CMP process and equipment engineers.
Conduct experiments and analyze data for process improvements.
Use knowledge of pads, disks, slurries, cleaning chemistries, and device integration to improve yield.
Participating in fab to fab standardization activities, tool to tool matching, cost reduction, defect reduction, as well as throughput improvement projects
Strong skills in logical and objective data analysis with an ability to establish and track metrics to meet department goals.
Actively participate with other engineering, production and support organizations for high volume production of leading edge logic devices
Providing innovative real time quick response and solutions to line issues to help maintain manufacturing requirements while maintaining the highest level of quality
2-7 years of related experience
Experience in 200mm or 300mm high volume manufacturing
Prior CMP equipment engineering experience
BS degree in an Engineering or physical science. Advanced degree is a plus.
Ability to successfully plan, execute, analyze and deliver projects according to schedule
Strong data analysis, troubleshooting, teamwork, and communication skills
Aptitude and desire to learn new skills
Six Sigma certification and/or use of LEAN improvement tools a plus
Ability to thrive in a multi-culture environment
Previous supervisory role over technical staff is strongly desired
Experience with AMAT CMP tools (Mirra, Reflexion, Reflexion LK)
Experience in the following is desirable: SAS/JMP, Minitab, SPC, Tool Monitoring Software, Troubleshooting, MCC (machine cycle charting)
