This role is for an Operations Manager to oversee a 3 month phone deployment process for a Capital Complex Telephony System (CCTS). Our client is migrating from an Intercom PBX to a Cisco HCS and the moves/deployments will be approximately 500 phone sets per month for 3 months. There is a possibility that this role would be extended another 12 months for a total of 15 months. Potential to go permanant but this will be a W-2 Contract role to start.

Project overview:

  • Review the current process and update as necessary to ensure the phone deployment schedule is adhered to

  • Hands on managment of up to 5 technicians

  • Coordinate cutover dates with all the offices (Based on scheduled deployment date).

  • Schedule the appropriate resources to deploy phones

  • Schedule any training requests as necessary

  • Verify with deployment team that all of the phones are built in the cut sheet.

  • Get the phones delivered to the agency.

  • Go out to the site on day of deployment.

  • Manage the team of phone deployment resources

  • Stay on site till all phones distributed

  • Close out discussions with the client

  • Take care of IMACD for both Cisco phones and Intecom phones

  • Pick up phones as lease expires

Requirements:

  • UC/PBX technical understanding (Experience in working in IT environments - specifically in supporting Telecom in IT)

  • Management experience (could be project or operations management)

  • Ability to manage a process from end to end

  • Able and willing to do hands on deployments of phones

  • 5-10 years experience in the IT field with a minimum of 2 years in an active leadership role managing a small team.
