This assignment is non-benefits eligible. Applicants should indicate their experience/skills related to each area of qualification. Job assignment may be filled at any time. Two shifts available - 8 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m, Selected candidates must be flexible to work weekends as needed.

Provide assistance with shifting library materials.
Shift books from one library shelving location to other shelves, keeping materials in call number order during move. Dust library shelves as part of moving materials. Assist with other logistical operations as directed by supervisor. Lifting up to 25 pounds.
Other related functions as assigned.
High school graduation or GED. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Ability to follow directions closely. Ability to perform repetitive physical type work while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to maintain regular work schedule. Selected candidates must be flexible to work either shift 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon OR 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Selected candidates must be flexible to work weekends as needed to complete project per deadlines. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Excellent communication skills.
Experience with Library of Congress Classification System.
May work around standard office conditions
Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation

Lifting and moving
Attire: Business Casual. Will be working in a dusty environment.
A criminal history background check will be required for finalist(s) under consideration for this position.
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
