CITY OF CEDAR PARK SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR I in CEDAR PARK, Texas
The City of Cedar Park is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Systems Administrator. Manages a 24-hour continuous server farm to provide maximum uptime for the City's related services; Provides maintenance and development of backup and recovery services, Active Directory, software delivery, SQL systems management, Virtualization technology including VMware. Maintains up to date knowledge of Active Directory including user accounts, permissions, sites and services, domain replication, schema, group policy, DNS, NTFS shares, RAID levels, Microsoft SQL server user accounts, permission settings; Installs, maintains and troubleshoots Microsoft Windows Server 2008 or later, including performance related issues, performance enhancements, security issues, Microsoft SQL 20012 or later database access issues, E-Mail delivery, account management, and name resolution issues; Acts as a Level 2 Support Technician for helpdesk escalations. Works varied shifts and responds to after hours on-call assignments as assigned, and Performs such other related duties as may be assigned. Acceptable Experience, Training, Certifications and Licenses An Associate of Arts Degree or 60 college credit hours from an accredited college in Computer Science or a related field, plus two (2) years experience in a related field; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Supplemental Information Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification or the ability to obtain within one (1) year of date of hire.
