Baylor Scott & White Health Lab Tech III FT DAYS in Pflugerville, Texas
The Laboratory Technician will perform phlebotomy, processing, testing and provide clerical support. Collection of other specimens as needed. The Laboratory Technician will communicate effectively with patients, physicians and other personnel. The Laboratory Technician conducts phlebotomy and collection of non-blood specimens. The Laboratory Technician has the responsibility of processing, routing, and testing of specimens. The Laboratory Technician maintains effective communication and working relationships with all personnel, other disciplines, and external customers. The Laboratory Technician maintains appropriate inventory of supplies. The Laboratory Technician participates in laboratory projects and educational activities. The Laboratory Technician possesses phlebotomy skills for all age groups and maintains effective communication with staff and customers. Ability to comprehend and communicate instructions. The Laboratory Technician possesses the ability to perform laboratory protocols and procedures. The ideal candidate for the Laboratory Technician role will have skill in the use of computers and related software applications. The ideal candidate for the Laboratory Technician role will also have knowledge of safety and infection control standards and the have the ability to work in a team environment.
