General Summary:
The IT Project Manager, Senior Analyst will work within the Program Management team supporting our IT Infrastructure Engineering organization.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans, drives and manages the development, execution and successful completion (outcomes achieved on-time and within budget) of one or more IT Projects, following Dell’s Software Development Lifecycle framework
Anticipates problems and potential future state risks and proactively seeks avoidance; when problems do arise, addresses promptly and drives for consensus and resolution
Proactively engages, participates and encourages everyone to strive for greater quality, efficiency and effectiveness in project execution and delivery of higher-valued business outcomes
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Management, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Business or related field of study and 4+ years experience working in high-tech / software industry
2+ years experience as a Project Management professional (directing / leading >$250K projects), using Waterfall and Agile methods
Knowledge / experience in managing Compliance, Scale and Run-type projects
Solid project management skills, including planning, prioritizing, organizing work and meeting deadlines
Solid interpersonal skills including the ability to prepare for and make effective presentations, discuss, influence and educate others
Solid business judgment and decision-making skills
Ability to direct/lead others, and work in a globally, matrixed team environment
Strong communication skills: fluent in English (ability to read, write and speak
Must be legally authorized to work in the US with no restrictions; visa sponsorship not offered with this position
Preferred/Nice to Have :
Professional Certifications: PMP or PRINCE, ACP, MCSE, Six Sigma Green Belt
Experience working with a PPMO tool (i.e. ChangePoint)
